Twenty years on from winning Pop Idol, Scottish singer Michelle McManus reflects on her roller coaster life and career, and revisits iconic TV talent show moments.

Talent, a working title, is the story of a failed songwriter, to be played by Erivo, who returns home to Chicago to lead a group of at-risk youth in their annual talent show.

Little Talent Show was an MTV program that aired weekdays in the fall 2006 season.Each episode, 7 contestants who felt they were a triple threat when it comes to singing, acting and dancing, competed against each other until 2 were chosen to go head to head in the "Triple Threat" round. After the final round a winner is selected and crowned the most talented performer of the episode and receive a five hundred dollar cash prize and a statuette.

A drug addict named Michelle's daily life consists of selling her body to be able to afford her addiction.

Dave Van Gogh was a 'starving actor' for thirteen-point-five years. After landing a contracted long-term commercial role as the face of Stay Strong Condoms, he bought a house in an L.A. suburb and opened his doors to starving artists trying to make it in Hollywood. Now breaking into a new career path, Dave started a management company, WINNERS TALENT, and represents each of his tenants as their manager and life coach. These tenants, whom Dave calls his "Winners", include an array colorful characters: a lazy actor (Ty), a talentless pageant queen (Sophia), an awkward comedienne (Liz), an aspiring Sci Fi writer/blogger (Nathan), and a "slash" (Porter). The series follows these characters as they try to make it in Los Angeles, and how they interact as room-mates.

Mona has fled Syria with her Kurdish family and ends up in a primary school in Berlin-Wedding. Things are tough there. Everyone on the girls’ football team, for which Mona is selected, plays against each other. But only “team work makes the dream work”.
